Channels
Dev, QA, Prelive and Live — and what a share link follows.
Every build belongs to a channel. A channel is a lane, not a status: it decides who is looking at a build, not whether it is good.
| Channel | Typically |
|---|---|
| Dev | Whatever is on the branch right now. Your own team |
| QA | Something worth someone else's time to test |
| Prelive | A release candidate. Client and stakeholder review |
| Live | What matches, or is about to match, the store |
Because a share link follows a channel, you can give a client a Prelive link once and keep publishing to it. They always get the newest candidate, and they never see the Dev builds you push all day.
Retention
The newest build in each platform and channel is exempt from the 90-day sweep. A Live link cannot go dead because nobody published for a quarter.
